Lemon spider orchid

Lovely lemon spider orchids are only found in two woodland fragments in the wheatbelt in south west WA, & numbers have been declining for the last 30+ years – only 71 flowering plants were recorded in 2015! Habitat destruction for agriculture was an issue historically, while current threats include dryland salinity, invasive weeds, a drying climate & changing fire regimes & even small population size itself.

To help protect threatened flora & fauna in WA, 50%+ of the profits from all sales of this image are donated to the Conservation Council of Western Australia.
