Silky blue orchid – pink form

So this is a silky blue orchid. Except apparently noone told this one (or a few of it’s neighbours) that it’s supposed to be blue, and it went with pink instead. I’m not sure why, but, whatever the reason, it’s beautiful!

Silky blue orchids are common in high rainfall areas throughout south west WA, where they can be found in Banksia woodlands, eucalypt forests & around granite outcrops. They flower from August to early October, & flower in greater numbers following summer fire.
