York sun orchid

Most of the orchids in south west WA flower in late winter &/or spring, but there are a few that flower during summer, including York sun orchids, They’re a Near Threatened (Priority 3) species that’s only found in a small area near the town of York. They flower in November & December, & the flowers not only look beautiful, they also smell beautiful – like cinnamon!

To help protect threatened flora & fauna in WA, 50%+ of the profits from all sales of this print are donated to the Conservation Council of Western Australia.
